Car Rental Terms And Conditions
As Bookings are requested online through our website www.elitecarsseychelles.com whereby vehicle type and insurance as additional extras must be selected and confirmed. The Terms & Conditions find herewith must be fully read and acknowledged. Guest will receive a notification that the booking is being processed under 24 hrs. A payment link will be mailed to customer for a deposit payment of 20% of total booking cost to secure the reservation. The outstanding balance will be paid directly to Elite sales representatives upon arrival on the island while picking up the car.
After your confirmation email you will be met on Praslin at your chosen location (port / airport / hotel) by our representative with your name displayed (should you arrive earlier than your agreed time ,in this case contact us).
Our friendly representative will guide you through the contract agreement procedures, inspection and handling over of the car.
Our representatives will take photographs and make full inspections where existing damages will be noted in the rental contract.
The hirer agrees to take proper care of the car and is fully responsible for all damages to the rented vehicle due to negligence.
We provide free maps and careful advice on safe driving around the island.
Where the 20% deposit payment of total amount has not been effected then in this case the reservation is not confirmed and is considered Void.
Most delivery / return of cars, take place at the harbour or the airport. Our representatives move around the island in a mobile way.
If your arrival time is earlier or delayed in any way , it is very important to contact us and inform us as we will be at the agreed location 5-10 minutes before the agreed time.
When returning the car , the key must be only returned to elite car hire representatives and not to anybody else.
The car must be returned on time and at the agreed location as specified on the rental contract, otherwise the hirer is liable to be charged a full day rental cost.
If the hirer desires to change the rental period after taking possession of the car, by reducing the rental days, 100% fee will apply for the remaining days. If hirer wishes to extend for more days, the company needs to be advised the earliest to guarantee availability of the car.
We deliver cars and collect cars in any hotels, guesthouses or establishments. It is advisable to give all relevant hotel name, village and room number to facilitate delivery and collection.
We provide free delivery and collection of cars anywhere on the island of Praslin.
The vehicle shall not be operated:
- By any learner driver or any driver under the age of 21years
- By any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- In motor sport event
- On the beach or any other terrain other than demarked main & secondary roads.
- By any other person(S) agreed on the contract.
The hirer shall not exceed the speed limit of 40km/h in the town area and 60km/h outside town.
The hirer shall not park under coconut trees.
The hirer shall refrain from putting excessive sand in the car ( liable to a valley charge of sr 500).
The hirer is responsible to ensure that fuel is returned full tank at own cost.
The hirer is responsible for any abnormal damages to tires other than a puncture.
Under no circumstance shall a rented car be driven on a flat tyre.
The hirer shall bare the cost of replacing the car keys if it is loss or damaged.
Under no circumstance shall the hood of the car be opened and any mechanical parts or engine be tempered with.
The hirer hereby releases the company from any liability for loss or damage to any property left, stored or transported by hirer.
The hirer respects the maximum capacity of the rented cars to be a set maximum of 5 passengers, plus 1 large and 1 small suitcase. The hirer is advised to make 2 trips or pay for a taxi to transport additional passengers or luggages.
If the vehicles are found and reported to be operating in any of these circumstances, the car maybe confiscated immediately and rental contract will be terminated with no refund.
In case of any accident in which the vehicle is damaged or cause damage, the hirer undertakes to inform the company immediately and have the case investigated on the spot by local authorities. Under no circumstance should the car be moved.
The hirer shall take instructions from the company and not from bystanders or anybody else on the site. In case of non compliance or the hirer is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the hirer shall be liable for the full cost of the damages incurred.
Covid-19 Updates:
Guests should abide and adhere to the measures in place in line with the efforts to prevent the spread of the covid 19 pandemic.
Rental Policies And Procedures
Elite car hire has a minimum rental duration set to 3 days.
Car rental operators on Praslin do not have offices at the arrival / departure ports. The agreed time for delivery/return of vehicle is the time the representatives will be at the ports, any changes in time, the company must be advised in order to assist in a punctual manner.
We set the minimum rental to 3 days , however should a client wish to rent for less then they can contact us, this will be subject to availability of cars.
Stage 1 – Delivery
WELCOME. We will have your name on a board waiting at the Airport or jetty.
Contracting and payments procedures.
Inspection of vehicle with photos taken.
Friendly advice how to safely drive on the island. Finalizing the rental.
Stage 2 – Return
A representative will be waiting 5-10 mins at the return location.
Return inspection of vehicle. Handover of key. Any valet charges or outstanding settlements done.
Insurance Policy
CDW (collision damage waiver) included with low excess of EUR 1000.
And Eur 500 at an extra cost of Eur 15/day
We offer CDW (collision damage waiver)insurance included in the price. The hirer is comprehensively insured against
public liability risk, collision and accidental damage to the car, if the hirer is not at fault.
Our reduced excess is set to Euro 1000 and provided that all conditions have been respected damages
will not exceed this amount and smaller damages will be less than this amount.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations up until 48hours to arrival time – no charge
- Cancellations up until 24hrs to arrival time and No Show- full amount or any payment paid is retained
